We led the development of a Strategic Growth Council planning grant application that was ranked #2 in the state out of 188 submitted applications and secured $1 million of funding for sustainability initiatives in the Tahoe Basin. The partnership included several public agencies and non-profit organizations, which We facilitated to develop a collaborative approach and work plan. We strategically structured the work plan to demonstrate the collaborative nature of the partnership, the efficient use of funds through leveraging both top-down and bottom-up planning processes, and the integration into existing planning processes in the Tahoe Basin such as the Lake Tahoe Prosperity Plan. We developed a document structure that effectively demonstrated the local need and the efficacy of the work plan within the 12 page limitation.
