Chad Praul’s career is focused on combining technical analysis tools with clear communication approaches to promote conservation and efficient use of environmental and economic resources. His broad engineering background allows him to rapidly assess available data and succinctly display key findings. His economic education and management experience have honed his capability to lead project teams, and facilitate effective communication with public, management and technical audiences. Mr. Praul developed and managed the Nevada Tahoe Conservation District monitoring program, completed a GIS based comprehensive inventory of water quality restoration projects for the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program, was the Chairperson of the Lake Tahoe Interagency Monitoring Program, and conducted applied energy efficiency research. He has developed performance measure and indicator systems drawing on a database developed from a broad review of environmental and development programs. Mr. Praul’s educational experience includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and candidacy for a degree in Resource Economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
